Breathing is something we do daily. The body breathes involuntarily whether we are awake, sleeping, or actively exercising. Breathing is living. It is a vital function of life. And yet, we take it for granted. We exercise our minds at school. We exercise our bodies at the gym. We want to get stronger biceps, more muscular legs, a more sharp mind. We consume caffeine, energy drinks, and all kind of stimulants. YET, we never work (most of us) on our breath, the basis of our existence. We take it for granted like it is supposed to get good and better on its own without giving it any thought. Research clearly shows that a regular practice of controlled breathing can decrease stress on the body and increase overall physical and mental health. Breathing techniques strengthen the connection between your body and mind. It promotes relaxation and mindfulness. It's also proven to support multiple aspects of physical health, including lung function, bllood pressure, and brain function. Based on my last poll, many of you want to read about the new techniques I've been working on. Therefore, in the next few days, I will share 10 posts related to breathing techniques. I am not an expert, nowhere close to it. I'm just sharing what I've experienced, what I've practiced, and what I've read. That simple. Have a great day! ANd keep your eyes open for my upcoming posts!
