It isn't even with a badass building or a sea lion kissing me. Why do I like it so much? It's all about the London bus memory. When I started traveling, let's just say that I didn't have much money to do any fancy tours. Nothing beats sitting, front row, second deck of the bus. I would buy a 3-day bus pass, and every day, I would sit on a random bus and visit the city. I had my London book in my hand and would read about the different places I was going through. Doing it on a Sunday morning was even better. The empty streets of London have so many stories to tell you. I know, it might not seem that impressive if you're European. But to someone who lived in Canada her whole life, it was (and still is). London was the first city that I visited outside Canada and the USA. It brings back the memories of discovering the world on my own, even on a low budget. I was younag and innocent. There wasn't a pandemic. I could have fun just sitting on a bus, not worrying about tomorrow. Sure, you can spend several hundred dollars on tours. And yes, many of them were OMG soooooo worth it. But if you only have a few dollars to spend on tourism in London, that would be my top recommendation. There's a reason why I visited that city 4 times afterward. Have you visited London?
