I've done over 10 of them... mostly to help me visit several locations within one week. It would be my "discovery week". A little sample of everything. Doing a cruise the right way is a fine art with all the possibilities, ships features and excursions. I learned to never book an excursion through the cruise ship. They are packed with people, way overpriced, and you always end up stuck somewhere forever where they want you to buy something. Never miss the captain's night. I mean, the bubbles are free. It's the perfect night to indulge in some fine bubbly, right? Jokes aside, I've discovered so many nice places through my cruises. I often went back a few years later to see more of this country / city. This is how I discovered most of Alaska. This is how I discovered Cinque Terre, the Amalfi Coast, Dubrovnik in Croatia, Vietnam, Singapore, etc. Will they ever go back to how it was before? Or do we move on to a new chapter?
